What is the Youth Employment Program?

The Nine Star Youth Employment program is focused on providing youth an opportunity to enter the work force. These youth have received thorough one-on-one training by their Nine Star mentor in job search skills and work habits and are vetted by Nine Star to ensure they have the potential to be a good fit for the employer.

What businesses can request interns?

The employment program is open to all businesses in the Anchorage, Mat-Su and Homer areas that are in need of Full-time, Part-time or Temporary employees. Employers will be expected to provide job descriptions for the positions and follow all established Federal and State regulations concerning business operations.

What are the benefits of the program?

• Nine Star staff recruit appropriate candidates to fill open positions
• Nine Star can provide funding for required employment items such as clothing, tools, background checks, etc.
• The possibility to provide youth wages for a period of time
