Adults who have earned their high school diploma will earn thousands of dollars more in their lifetime than adults who don’t have this crucial career-building education.
We are a non-profit, and we offer a variety of courses to help prepare Alaskan adult students for the GED® exam. This includes teaching academic skill building classes with an emphasis on reading, writing, math, science and social studies (which is what the GED® test is composed of). The Alaska GED® is a high school diploma alternative for adults who didn’t graduate from a standard high school experience.
If you’re wondering how to continue your education and build your resume now as an adult, Nine Star is an approved GED® testing facility in Anchorage. We offer affordable adult skill building classes and career education to help prepare for the exam. On average, we charge $50 per semester of classes, which includes all fees and course materials – but there are some scholarships available for those who can’t afford this cost. Low-income adult education is also available.
