High School Equivalent Completion (GED®)
Adults who have earned their high school diplomas will earn thousands of dollars more in their lifetimes than adults who don’t have this crucial, career-building education. If you need your diploma, Nine Star offers classes to help you prepare for the four General Educational Development (GED) exams: math, science, social studies, and language arts. Once you pass the exams, you will receive an Alternative High School Diploma by GED Exam from the State of Alaska and be on your way up the career ladder!
Nine Star is an approved GED® testing facility. GED® is a registered trademark owned by the American Council on Education and administered by GED Testing Service LLC under license. For more information visit www.ged.com.

English as a Second Language
We offer English as a Second Language courses for non-native speakers. The classes cover basic reading, writing, language, and conversational skills, and students will learn how to navigate real life situations and improve their understanding of American culture. If US citizenship is your goal, we can provide you with assistance in interview and test preparation.

Immigration / Citizenship
Our classes help you prepare for the naturalization test, practice for the interview, and build the English and civics knowledge you need to succeed. Join a supportive community and take the next step toward your American dream. Classes are open to all green card holders and offered at convenient times.
Our Commitment
We offer affordable adult skill building classes and career education to help prepare for exams, assessments, and certifications. On average, we charge $50 per class session, which includes all fees and course materials. Low-income adult education is also available.
If you are committed to the coursework and building your employment skills, we are committed to helping you through the process and supporting you!
Class Format
All classes are available in person at our office or online. If you live nearby, we encourage you to enjoy the in-class experience so you can interact with fellow students. If this is not feasible, we welcome your participation via Zoom. Either way, if you are committed to the coursework and to building your skills, we are committed to supporting you through the process TO SUCCESS!
